We’re reaching out to our community with full hearts and a hopeful ask 💛 The past few weeks have been a lot for our family. My mom recently had her second knee revision surgery, and recovery is going to take time, patience, and a lot of support. At the same time, she continues to care for my grandparents—both in their 90s—who rely on her every day. Just before my mom’s surgery, my grandma suffered a fall and spent time in the hospital, followed by a stay in respite care. By God’s grace, she was able to return home yesterday. While we are so thankful to have everyone back together, it also means there is a greater need for support during this time of healing. and needing care at the same time. Right now, the biggest thing that would help ease the daily stress is meals. Having something ready to go would take a huge weight off my mom while she heals and continues to care for my grandparents. If you feel led, we would be so grateful for your help—whether that’s providing a meal, sending takeout, or lifting our family up in prayer. Every act of kindness is a blessing and a reminder that we are not walking through this season alone. This is one of those moments where a little support goes a long way—and we are so grateful for our friends and family. Thank you for loving our family through this season 💛
Softer foods are easier for Grandma and Grandpa. But they really are not picky. Some of their favorites are: Olive Garden, chicken fettuccine, salad and zupa Tuscana soup. Fried chicken and mashed potatoes. Meatloaf and potatoes and salad.
