Exciting news! Sam got to come home on Friday (6/12)!!! 🎉 She will be starting a Day Rehab program with CHOA from 9-3, Monday-Friday. This is very intense but will set Sam up to continue to improve at a quick rate like she has been doing. We are so proud of the progress she has made in the last week. She has been working really hard. This has been a big struggle for the entire family, and we can’t thank you enough for the love, support and prayers 🙏 along the way. We are blessed to have you all in our corner. 🥰 Keep those prayers going as she still has a long way to go. At this point, they have ruled out a stroke which is a good thing. However, they are still trying to figure out what it is. They are currently treating her with steroids for a neuro-autoimmune disorder that has caused Sam to have a lack of blood flow in her brain and it's in the part of her brain that affects the left side of her body. They did a Lumbar Puncture/Spinal Tap, so they are using that fluid to test all the different autoimmune diseases. As the weeks continue to go by, we expect to start hearing more results, but it takes weeks for the cultures to complete so we must be patient and take things day by day. Again, thank you for your support, we couldn’t do this without the help of our family, friends and neighbors. You are all a blessing. Thank you! ♥️
