🏑 It Takes a Moise Village: πŸ‘Ά Support Us

W
Story

This baby did not arrive on our timeline. They arrived after two years of fighting, healing, praying and trusting God with every single detail. In September 2024 Loreal was diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis. We were already dreaming about having a family but her body needed time to heal first. She spent weeks at Wildwood learning to nourish her body with whole foods. She sought second opinions, changed medications, lost weight and did the hard, sacred work of getting well β€” not just for herself but for the family she believed was coming. On April 23rd, 2026 at 11:27 in the morning, Loreal went in for an ultrasound because she thought something was wrong. The technician looked at the screen and said β€” "Ma'am, you are eight weeks pregnant." Eight weeks. Already growing. Already covered. Already known by God before we even knew to pray specifically for this child. She came home and took another test anyway. This time it said pregnant. And she laughed. A deep, full, Sarah-in-the-Bible laugh. The kind that only comes when God does something so perfectly, so quietly, so completely like Him that all you can do is laugh and cry and praise at the same time. This baby was conceived in March β€” right when our village was praying over us. Right when we thought it had not happened yet. God was already writing a different story. We are Loreal & Karl Moise. We live in DeLand, Florida. Our village spans New York, Mobile, Huntsville, Florida and beyond. We could not do this without every single one of you. Baby Moise is due December 2, 2026. And they are already so loved. This page is how our village shows up for us practically β€” with meals, massages, household help, visits and prayers β€” from wherever they are in the world. Thank you for being here. Thank you for being ours. It truly takes a village. πŸ‘πŸ’› Loreal & Karl Moise

Special Notes

πŸ“‹ Special Notes for Our Village About Loreal's diet: Loreal follows a whole food plant based diet. When sending or dropping off meals please keep it simple, nourishing and plant based. Think soups, stews, grain bowls, smoothies, fresh fruits and vegetables. No meat, no dairy, nothing heavy or spicy. When in doubt send an Instacart gift card or DoorDash credit and let her choose. πŸ’› About visits: We love you and we want to see you. Please coordinate all in person visits through the Give InKind calendar before booking travel. This protects Loreal's rest and makes sure she is ready and excited to receive you when you arrive. Unannounced visits during the first two weeks are reserved for immediate family only. About phone calls and texts: Loreal may not always respond quickly especially in the early weeks. Please do not take it personally. She loves you. She is just growing and healing. A text that says I am thinking of you and you do not need to respond goes a very long way. πŸ’› About the prenatal and postpartum massages: Loreal's preferred massage style is prenatal deep tissue. When purchasing a gift card please look for licensed prenatal massage therapists in the DeLand Florida area. Suggestions welcome! 🌿 About emotional support: When you check in please lead with love not questions. Instead of how are you feeling try I just called to tell you I love you and I am proud of you. Use the LUV framework β€” Listen, Understand by repeating back what you heard, and Validate what she is sharing. That is all she needs. πŸ’› About Karl: Karl needs the village too! He is stepping into fatherhood for the first time while also supporting Loreal through recovery. Check in on him. Ask how he is doing as a man not just as a father. Bring him a meal. Send him an encouraging word. The village covers both of them. πŸ‘‘ About Baby Moise: Baby Moise is being raised in a faith filled, whole food, intentional home. When gifting items for baby please check the registry first at Babylist β€” live by May 31st 2026 β€” so everything aligns with what Loreal and Karl have chosen with intention and love. πŸ‘πŸ‘Ά Our one big ask: Pray for us. Pray specifically. Pray boldly. Pray often. Your prayers got this baby here and your prayers will carry this family through every season ahead. That is the greatest gift you can give Moise Village. πŸ™πŸ’›
