Hi, I’m Courtney. I never imagined I’d be in a position where I needed to ask for help, but here I am. Like so many families, we’ve been hit hard by the rising cost of living. Over the past several months, we’ve fallen behind despite doing everything we can to catch up. I’m not sitting back waiting for things to change. During the school year I work as a paraprofessional, and over the summer I’ve been working at Michael’s, delivering for Walmart Spark, and I recently accepted a job offer with Target to help bring in additional income. I’m also returning to college on September 2 to continue working toward becoming a certified teacher so I can provide a better future for my family. Even with multiple jobs, we’re still trying to recover from the financial hole we’ve fallen into. Right now, help with groceries, gas, household essentials, or gift cards would ease some of the pressure while we get back on our feet. Every act of kindness, no matter how big or small, means more than I can express.
