My sister said she doesn't really remember everything, and some things are hazy. Instead of being able to deliver vaginally due to hemorrhaging out, she had to deliver via c-section. Baby Josie went to the NICU because her blood sugars were too low. So the following morning, in the labor and delivery unit after her c-section, she coded and went back for an emergency ex-lap to clear the bleed. Once she was stabilized, she was taken to CT to check the hematoma and then CVIR for embolization procedure and quickly transferred to SICU. After multiple blood and plasma transfusions, early the next AM she went back to CVIR again for another embolization. She went back to ICU until her vitals stabilized, where she was then transferred back to postpartum. She was finally reunited with baby J. Once the doctors deemed her stable enough for discharge, Sydney (husband and baby J’s daddy) took them both home to start their journey as a family of three.
