My name is Amanda, and I am a mother of four amazing children. Over the years, our family has faced challenges that I never imagined we would have to overcome. I live with M.A.S.H. (Metabolic Dysfunction-Associated Steatohepatitis), a serious liver disease, as well as a seizure disorder that has significantly impacted my ability to work and provide for my family. While I continue to fight for my health every day, my doctors have advised that I cannot return to work for several more months. Before this health crisis, I worked hard to provide for my children and build a stable life. We have also experienced homelessness, a chapter of our lives that tested us in every possible way. Through determination, faith, and the support of a few caring people, we were able to find housing and begin rebuilding. I promised myself then that I would do everything I could to keep my family safe and secure. One of the hardest things for me is asking for help. I have always been the person who finds a way, pushes through, and takes care of everyone else. Reaching out for support feels uncomfortable and vulnerable, but right now I am facing circumstances that I cannot overcome alone. As my disability benefits come to an end and my medical restrictions continue, I am struggling to cover basic necessities for my family, including rent, utilities, groceries, transportation, and medical expenses. Every donation, share, and kind word helps lighten the burden and gives us a chance to make it through this difficult season. My goal is simple: to keep a roof over my children’s heads, maintain stability while I focus on my health, and return to work as soon as I am medically able. Thank you for taking the time to read our story and for any support you can provide. It means more to our family than words can express.
