Story
My dad was in the hospital this past weekend (4/18-4/20) and found out he has two compressed areas in his spine—basically, parts of his spine are pressing down and putting pressure on his nerves. That pressure is likely what’s been causing most of his recent back pain. He’s having lumbar fusion surgery this Friday (4/25) at OSU to relieve that pressure. The doctors will use a rod to stabilize and reposition his spine, which should take the pressure off the nerves. Hopefully, this will “uncompress” the area and help reduce the pain he’s been dealing with for so many years.
Special Notes
My father is on a ketogenic diet and doesn’t really eat carbs, except for some dark chocolate sweet treats.
