This is a care calendar to organize visits and dinners for Nana & Grandad from the adult grandchildren. Each grandchild is to pick 2 days per month to take dinner and visit Nana & Grandad at their home in the evening for a minimum of a 2 hour visit and complete a few simple tasks to make their life better. For those not living in town, they can DoorDash them dinner and perhaps have a FaceTime “visit”. Please don’t do back to back nights. Try your hardest to spread your nights out so they have help 2 days a week. If you feel led you can add more nights. We are excited to invite the grandkids to help out and schedule some quality time with Nana & Grandad! We think this will benefit you guys as well! It will be intentional time that you can have with your grandparents, one on one, in their last years. A time to bond, ask questions, comfort and even pray for them. What a gift to give yourself…sweet memories to cherish forever!
Please call the afternoon of your signup day to remind them you are coming. Ask about what you need to bring. We ask that you: Take care of trash in kitchen and driveway if needed Make sure mail and paper has been collected Take Gunnar on a leashed walk and make sure he goes potty Encourage Nana and Grandad to walk or stand up and move Clean up any dishes after supper Ask them if they have taken their night time meds Make sure doors are locked and garage is closed before leaving.
