Petals That Inspire - Petal Pushers for Good

Columbus, OH

Story

Join us to amplify the Petals impact! Petals That Inspire is a social enterprise in Columbus Ohio with the mission to inspire creativity and empower the community through artistic floral design. We are proud to offer workforce development to members of our community that are overcoming barriers to employment. We are so humbled and grateful for those that have expressed interest to volunteer with us! We will use this page to communicate volunteer opportunities as we continue to build a community to help all flourish into sustainable happy futures! Volunteer opportunities include: - Quarterly “Community Table” events to assemble resource kits to distribute throughout the community. - Support our “Food to Flourish” program by signing up to bring lunch/snacks to members of our Workforce Development Program every Thursday at the studio. The goal is for each participant to have a meal to enjoy during the wellness hour at the start of the workshop and then one meal to take home with them as well. We will have 4 participants each week. The volunteer that signs up for a week would be asked to bring enough food to feed (8) total guests. 4 servings for in the workshop and then 4 servings to take home. These can be in individual portions/bags or one large amount that can be divided up into to-go containers (Petals will have containers). - Organize a vase drive with your church or community group (we are always accepting vase donations!). If you would like to organize a vase drive please reach out to [email protected]. - Volunteer to assist with floral processing, workshop & class prep! If you love flowers and aren’t afraid to get your hands dirty this is a fun way to learn flowers! You will see these events in the calendar below!

Special Notes

For the "Food to Flourish" meal train, we are doing our best to introduce healthy options to the young adults in our program so feel free to get creative. At this time we are avoiding nuts in the case of an unknown allergy of a student.
