Update May 17th: Visitation will be Friday May 22nd, 2026 from 4 to 7 pm. at Hamilton’s Funeral home 605 Lyon Street, Des Moines. Celebration of life will take place Saturday May 23rd, 2026 from 5 to 8pm at the Courtyard Marriott Ankeny 2405 SE Creekview Drive, Ankeny. On Wednesday May 13th, Josh was involved in a motorcycle accident and passed away from injuries shortly after. We are setting up a grocery list and food info for everyone to have a central location for information. Right now for food and stuff being dropped off the family has requested porch drop off. Every meal and donation is greatly appreciated and we know Josh touched a lot of people but right now the family needs time to grieve and adjust so please be respectful. Updates will be posted here as we have them for the funeral and celebration of life so please check here for all of it. We know he was so loved by so many and we can’t wait to hear all the crazy stories. Jaxson will be putting together a photo board so please send pics that you have of Josh throughout the years through this site or to Laura Hitt on Facebook.
Grocery list as of May 14th (please keep in mind this is just snacks and drinks for the kids until we get to the store to do real shopping)- Apple juice - 2 large containers any brand Mt dew - cans or bottles - no prefrence Sara Lee Artesano bread loaf - this is the only bread Jameson likes and he eats toast everyday Lay’s bbq chips - regular not baked - 2 bags Orange cheddar pringles - 2 cans Harvest cheddar sun chips - 2 bags Meat combo pizza rolls Jameson preferred foods: Toast - bread listed above French fries Plain lettuce - no salad mixes please Cherry tomatoes Cucumbers Dill pickles Red peppers Jaxson and Julia have no current preferences and will take anything donated.
