Uplift Jaxson's Ride

Columbus, OH

W
Story

Jaxson is my funny and energetic nephew! He was born with a rare genetic condition called Kabuki Syndrome (1 in 32,000 births) and has specific physical features like pale skin, short stature, long eye lashes, and hip dysplasia, as well as medical complications including cardiac problems, hearing loss, kidney abnormalities, and hypotonia. As a result, Jaxson certainly keeps his medical team on their toes :) At birth, Jaxson's skull fused too early and required multiple surgeries as an infant to create space for his brain to grow. He also has a gene abnormality that runs in my family and results in extensive blood clotting, especially after surgeries, which is critical given that he has undergone 23 surgeries. Jaxson has been through a lot throughout his young life. He has faced every challenge, obstacle, and set back with his mom, dad, and older brother at his side. Now his little sister is in on the fun! Along with winning his medical battles, Jaxson is killer at wheelchair basketball, sled hockey, and buddy ball (tee ball with his big brother). He knows all there is to know about WWE, AEW, and any other professional wrestling organization you can name and has even had the opportunity to get in the ring! Everyone who meets Jaxson is immediately struck by his bubbly personality, high energy, and strong creativity. He truly is one of a kind <3 As you can imagine, Jaxson and his family have been through many ups and downs. His father, Jayson, works at a hospital garnering as many hours as he can while his mother (my sister), Serena, is a freelance writer to try to bring in as much income as she can to help support the family while also having flexibility to take Jaxson to his doctor's appointments and the ability to choose not to work when he has to be admitted to the hospital. I've watched both Jayson and Serena do everything in their power for their family. They've taken out loans, worked odd jobs, and gone without so their kids have what they need. Though they don't like it, they have learned over time that asking for help is necessary. This page is aimed to provide them with whatever Jaxson and his family needs whenever they need it. Sometimes they need food, other times it's money for bills or presents for birthdays, sometimes it's gas money to run the kids around, or even some alone time for Serena and Jayson to reconnect away from the chaos of every day life. People often ask us what they can do to support Jaxson, Serena, Jayson, Jeffrey, and Skylar. Now, using this page, people will know the answer to that question! On behalf of Jaxson and his family, thank you for your ongoing support and encouragement. We all appreciate you very much.
