Lauren dyer and family

Story

Supporting the Dyer Family 🩷 As many of you know, Lauren was recently diagnosed with Stage 3 triple-negative breast cancer, with cancer also found in a lymph node. This diagnosis came as a complete shock, especially after having a normal mammogram just a few months earlier. The past few weeks have been an emotional whirlwind filled with biopsies, scans, countless appointments, and some very difficult conversations. Thankfully, her PET scan showed no evidence of cancer spreading beyond the breast and regional lymph nodes, which was an answered prayer and a huge relief for the entire family! Lauren has a long road ahead of her. She has officially started an aggressive chemotherapy and immunotherapy treatment plan that will include Taxol, Carboplatin, Keytruda, and eventually Adriamycin (also known as the “Red Devil”). After 6 months of treatment, she will undergo a double mastectomy, with additional treatment, radiation, and recovery to follow. Anyone who knows Lauren knows she’s strong-willed, independent, a little stubborn, and usually the one taking care of everyone else! She’s determined to fight this with everything she’s got, but even the strongest people need a little help sometimes. Between chemotherapy treatments, doctor appointments, managing side effects, working full time still, and trying to keep life as normal as possible for her husband and children, the coming months will be challenging for the entire family. That’s where our amazing family, friends, and community come in! 🩷 We’ve created this Meal Train to help take one thing off their plates during this difficult season 3 times a week on her long work day, chemo day, and the day after. Providing a meal will allow Lauren to rest and recover while making sure her family has a home-cooked dinner without the added stress of planning, shopping, or cooking. Whether it’s a homemade meal, takeout, a restaurant gift card, or simply keeping the family in your prayers, every gesture of kindness means more than words can express. Lauren and her family have already been overwhelmed by the love, prayers, messages, and support they’ve received. Their faith remains strong, and they are trusting God through every step of this journey. Cancer may have interrupted their lives, but it will not define them. There will be hard days ahead, but with faith, family, friends, and a whole lot of love, they won’t have to face those days alone. Thank you for loving on this family, lifting them up in prayer, and helping carry some of the load during this season. Let’s help Lauren focus on fighting cancer while we help take care of the people she loves most. 🩷🎗️ With love and gratitude,

Special Notes

No allergies. Lauren will only eat shredded chicken (no breasts or chunks 🤮). Casseroles, soups, crock pot dinners, are all ideas. Preferably high protein, lower carb per oncologist. 222 northridge drive Anderson sc 29621
