Mom had surgery on Saturday afternoon after breaking her hip in a fall on Friday. As anyone who knows my mom would expect, she came out like a trooper! Huge shout out to Christian and Brooklyn for stepping in and being there when Ree got out of surgery and for checking in on Paw. As fate would have it, my family was also preparing to leave to go out of the country Saturday. I am incredibly grateful to our village for coming together to support my parents while I am away! Our family is greatly impacted because my mom is also my dad's caregiver, his driver, etc. Another big thank you to Amy and Lora for helping with my dad's medical needs while my mom is recovering! I want to create a meal train to help provide some extra support. My brother, RJ, will be coming to town Sunday and I will continue to help coordinate things as needed.
