No one ever expects to find themselves on this journey, but today Tina and Dale received news that changed everything. After careful evaluation, Dale’s medical team made the decision to keep him in the hospital. He will soon undergo a procedure to have an intra-aortic balloon pump (IABP) placed to help support his heart as he waits in hope for a life-saving heart transplant. Following the procedure, he will remain in the ICU until a donor heart becomes available. Tina is a cherished member of our chorus, but to us, our chorus mates are so much more than friends—they are family. When one member of our family is walking through a difficult season, we come together to lift one another up with love, encouragement, and practical support. It is our privilege to surround Tina and Dale with that same care during this journey. While their focus is on getting Dale safely through surgery and preparing for transplant, they know the road ahead will be long. After a successful transplant, Dale will face months of recovery, and Tina will be by his side every step of the way.
