Story
Elisha is battling a severe movement and neurological disorder which causes debilitating widespread pain and loss of functionality. Elisha's ability to eat and swallow has been significantly affected. Due to this issue, last October she received a lifesaving feeding tube and now spends much of her time eating through a feeding pump for most of her nutrients. Also, because of the pain and weakness Elisha is finding it very difficult to manage her care without support and assistance. Also affected by this condition is their family business, Oat Women & Children, which Elisha founded in 2020. As Elisha's condition has worsened she is no longer able to run her business the same as she was in past years. Her husband, business partner, and main caregiver, Tim, is now working several additional jobs in their efforts to stabilize their regular bills as well as the additional medical expenses this has brought on. With Tim working so many hours outside of the home, Elisha's care and support have been greatly impacted, and with it, her health. She is finding it extremely difficult to work and take care of 3 children with this disease without major support. While Elisha and her medical team search for answers, we, her family, are asking if you would consider joining us on this journey. Whether great or small any support you could offer would be deeply and profoundly appreciated. We will provide updates (or Elisha herself may provide updates) here on this page for everyone kindly asking how she is doing and what her progress is on this journey. With all our love and appreciation, Elisha and her family
