Zachary Randels lit up the spaces he occupied, and he will be sorely missed by his friends, Hynes UNO community, and his parents, older brothers and sisters, and loved ones. His light will live on through us. Zach lived with his mom and dad Greta & Jim, who did everything in their power to give him the best life possible, as well as his brother and bunk mate Jamie, with whom he was very close. Zachary knew he was loved, and it is my hope that we can rally behind his family for the rest of the year to provide relief, love, care, and support for them following this unimaginable loss.
When dropping off food (best between 1-4PM), please leave it on the porch table and text Greta (504-223-6467) or Jim (504-508-1368) when you’re on the way or just dropped off. Jim is a pescatarian; Greta and Jamie have no dietary restrictions. All monetary donations will be used to purchase gift cards for grocers and eateries near their home, a house cleaning service, self-care services, or transferred directly to Greta & Jim, depending on what’s raised.
