Hi friends, This is really hard to share, but here we are. Our six-week-old daughter, Goldie, was admitted Wednesday to the Fort Worth Children’s hospital- ICU, and we don’t know when she’ll be able to come home. We went in for what we thought was dehydration, from a viral stomach bug. And it’s turned into a nightmare, due to the hospitals over sight. Goldie went into accute kidney failure/ sepsis Saturday. While we are on the other side we are prepared that this may happen again as we navigate the cause. So thankful for everyone’s prayers and messages. Social media is the easiest way to connect with everyone. With Josiah and I being from so many different places. We have people who love us and Goldie spread out it’s easiest to connect here. Goldie was able to get her intubation out/ no longer needs dialysis and insulin. As her body is learning to function on her own. We’re waiting on genetic testing results to find out what her allergy to milk is (breast/ or formula.) We’re taking things one day at a time—staying close to her, making medical decisions, and trying to keep life steady for our other kids. Please keep continue to keep our family in your prayers and hearts. Any kind words and messages I’m printing and creating a board in her room. Before Goldie was born, our income was already impacted by canceled salon days and wedding work. When you’re self-employed, the work can disappear, but the rent, utilities, and product costs don’t. Then Goldie got sick, and everything stacked at once. Because of health complications around her birth, I had to step away from work earlier than planned, which added to the strain during this season. We’re not people who are quick to ask for help. But right now, anything—donating, sharing our story, or even just keeping us in your thoughts—means more than we can put into words. This support helps us stay focused on Goldie and getting our family through this moment. Thank you for loving us and for being here. With so much gratitude, Sharayah & Family
