On August 8th, my best friend Hannah’s father, Ritchie, unexpectedly passed away. He had been living with her for the past 11 months. Hannah lost her mother in 2023. So, having her dad so close had meant a lot to her. She was so close to both of her parents, closer than any family I’ve ever known. I know she’s going to have a hard time getting through the loss. In addition to the grief she is going to be going through, she will have a hit financially with taking time off work to organize stuff and process. She has a gofundme for helping take care of funeral related expenses, but I wanted to help get a meal train started for her to ease the stress of groceries and cooking. Anything could help. Cooking a meal and bringing it over, restaurant/grocery store gift cards, food delivery gift cards, groceries, anything really. I wish I could be more help to her myself. Growing up so far away from your best friend is really hard when you need to be there for them but can’t at the moment. Anything helps.
