Love for Lucas

Duncannon, PA

Story

From Mom & Dad: "We had an appointment earlier this month for his hips. The doctor said he hasn't seen hips as bad as Lucas's on such a young kid - yay. 🫠 There is a major surgery that will be required as he gets older, pretty invasive and long recovery. But there's too much risk involved for his young age to attempt that now. So we're going with a preventative and less risk to help hold the hips in place and give him time to grow while still being his active self. So surgery is set for this Thursday, October 23rd. It's a 3-week recovery. Please pray for his pain to be manageable, and patience without being able to move like he normally does. Pray for no infection and for his healthy appetite and sleep to continue. Sometimes after surgery, his seizures worsen, pray for them to remain stable. He will be in some sort of hip cast for those 3 weeks."

Special Notes

Although recovery may take 3 weeks, there's a possibility it may take longer due to Lucas' medical complexities. In order to best support the family, it's best if Lucas' parents have the flexibility to order/pick up meals when convenient for them.
