The Rogers family is getting ready to welcome home their second daughter, baby Sophia! Join us in showing our love and support by signing up on the calendar here for a day that is most convenient for you. Other options include donating via venmo or sending them a door dash meal. Since this is their second child they don't really need baby things; however, they would very much appreciate food for the family and diapers for the little one. The freedom to choose their own meals through delivery services would be fantastic, but they are not picky eaters and will be sincerely grateful for every meal that they don't have to prepare for themselves. If you want to cook for their family, that is also an option on the calendar. They would like to spend the first week focused on their family getting settled. During that time they would prefer porch drop off methods without knocking or ringing the doorbell so that Murphy doesn't get alerted and start barking. After that week, they'd love for you to schedule to come in and meet her. If you plan to bring food, please consider bringing enough to also serve yourself so that you can stay and join them for a meal. The calendar says meal for 3 because Sam's mom is staying with them to help welcome Sophia home. It goes without saying that this is going to be a big shift for Olivia, so the following is a list of snacks that she would appreciate in a care package: Fresh fruits and berries Apple sauce (either cinnamon or plain ok) Granola bars Yogurt Veggie straws Snack size bags of skinny pop/pirate booty Uncrustables Thank you for being here and ready to help. We're all very excited to meet Sophia!
A little note from the Rogers family: The Rogers family is so excited to welcome baby Sophia very soon and begin this next chapter as a family of four! They’re looking forward to those first few weeks of adjusting, resting, and soaking up newborn moments together as everyone finds their new rhythm. Once Sophia arrives, they’d love to take about a week or so to settle in before having visitors. Postpartum can be a tender time of recovery and learning for Sam and John as they adjust to life with two little ones, so they kindly ask for patience and understanding as they navigate those early days. With cold, flu, and RSV season here, they also ask that anyone feeling under the weather hold off on visiting until everyone’s healthy. When it’s time to meet Sophia, please make sure to wash hands and skip the kisses for now. They’re so thankful for all of your love, excitement, and support—it truly means so much as they prepare for this special new season!
