Suzie is CCD cheerleader — she's the #1 best, do anything and everything kind of gal that everyone at the track and outside the track knows and loves. Her husband Doug is a track staple in his own right, having worn just about every hat there is over the years and always going out of his way to help anyone who needs it. On Sunday morning, August 9th, Suzie's heart stopped while she and Doug were in their motorhome. Doug immediately started CPR and kept it going until police and paramedics arrived — the paramedics had to shock her heart twice to get it restarted. Suzie is currently out of the hospital after having a stent put in the Left Anterior Descending Artery on August 19th at OSF St Joseph in Bloomington. Right now, Suzie has a long road of recovery ahead and a Meal Train would help tremendously! Suzie and Doug have spent years showing up for everyone else at the track and outside of the track. Now it's our turn to show up for them. The meals need to be Heart Smart and low sodium. Suzie loves salads with lots of boiled eggs and just about every fruits, veggies, and meat
Snacks are a good idea too
