Emily & Austin's Support Team

Hi my name is Kailey, I am Emily and Austin's close cousin. The Roach Family has asked me to help keep all of their loved ones informed with the detailed information about the health of Emily and Austin's beautiful fighting twin daughters, Addy and Bella, who are in the NICU. I created this page to better inform their caring support system who want to be in the loop about everything going on with the twins, as well as relieve some of the emotional stress of relaying health updates so mom and dad can better focus on their girls and Emily can better focus on healing her own body in postpartum recovery. Thank you SO MUCH to ALL of you for being the most incredible friends and family to the Roach family. It is so evident that Emily and Austin have the most LOVING and CARING community surrounding them and are deeply loved by many. I have had SO MANY of you reaching out for not only updates, but as well as asking how you can best support the Roach family during this difficult journey. A lot of you have volunteered to drop off a meal to help relieve that burden of having to cook at home. Although I know they would be SO appreciative and enjoy your home cooked meals, with careful thought, we have decided with Emily & Austin's unique situation this may not be the best approach in helping them at this time. With Addy and Bella both being in the NICU, the majority of Emily and Austin's time will be spent at the hospital rather than at home. As you may know, the twins were also recently separated and Bella was transferred to Phoenix Children's Hospital as she needs special resources to better care for her specific needs. This has created a difficult unimaginable situation for mom and dad where they are now having to split their time between traveling to both Chandler Regional Medical Center and PCH and spending a lot of nights sleeping at both hospitals. With that in mind, we have decided the best way to help Emily and Austin at this time is by purchasing meals to relieve them of the financial burden of being forced to eat all their meals on the go between their hospital drives as well as eating at the hospital cafeteria. We also believe this to be the best option, as it also limits the risk of vistor contact as an extra precaution in protecting the twins fragile developing immunities. If you would like to sign up to "Buy a Meal" I have created a non traditional meal train that allows you to purchase a care card and treat mom and dad to a meal each day. I have also linked Emily's Venmo (@Emily-Keillor-1) account if you would also like to donate to help out with the cost of gas as they will have a lot of commuting over the next month. Lastly, the best way you can support the Roach Family is by trying to refrain from sending them personal messages at this time to make it easier for them to be present and focus on their girls. I know everyone wants to show their support with kind encouraging words and I DO still believe hearing from you all is absolutely necessary and will benefit them a ton throughout this journey. So with that, I have opened up a message thread section on this page so you can post and pour out your daily encouragement and love everyday. This way Emily and Austin can read your kind words on their own terms without the weight of feeling the need to respond to each individual person. Posting your daily prayers is very encouraged and much appreciated. As Emily said in her last text, God is good and He is going to get them through this trial.
