Cassie and Anthony recently welcomed their sweet baby boy, Auggie. He was born with a rare heart condition called Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome (HLHS) — meaning his heart only has one working side. Over the next few years, Auggie will undergo three open-heart surgeries — the first within days of birth, the second around six months old, and the third between two and three years old. Cassie and Anthony are currently staying near Riley Children’s Hospital, while balancing time away from their two older children (who are staying with family) and missing work.
