Showing love towards the Samudre Family

Chesapeake, VA

W
Story

Kaylah and Sujit are a kind, loving family experiencing an unexpected medical situation. On 3-19-26, Sujit was rushed to the hospital for stroke-like symptoms. Thankfully, stroke has been ruled out, but the cause of his neurological symptoms are currently unknown. Sujit has gone through different tests and is awaiting final results/ diagnosis from the Neurologist. He is now home with Kaylah and their daughters, adjusting, resting, and recovering. Sujit is able to resume normal activities, but they are unsure how or when his neurological symptoms will completely resolve, and these symptoms impact his daily life. Kaylah and Sujit are super-star parents of two sweet girls, Rachel and Riley. Rachel has a very rare genetic disorder and autism, which has resulted in therapies 5 days a week to provide her with supports necessary for her growth. With the additional stress of Sujit's uncertain medical issues, support can be provided by earnestly praying for the family, financially contributing towards medical bills, sending a meal to the family, donating time to watch the girls for medical appointments, and spending time doing chores around their house so Kaylah can focus on Sujit and the girls.

Special Notes

Currently, all food is welcome. Healthy food is preferred, though, to help with inflammation (e.g., low-salt, low-sugar, lots of fruit and veggies). 🙂 For childcare, I will post specific dates and times we need it. If you are able to provide care for Rachel and Riley for an hour or more to help us rest, recooperate, attend appointments/ run errands, and spend some quality time together, we would greatly appreciate it. Care would be at our home and includes playtime, snacks/meals, and diaper changes. Rachel has special needs, and I will provide personal instructions to you for her care. Sujit is able to resume normal activities, but we are unsure how or when Sujit's symptoms will completely resolve, and these symptoms impact his daily life. We would greatly appreciate help with indoor and outdoor household chores, as needed. Outdoor chores include weeding, weed-wacking/edging, and mowing. Indoor chores include laundry, dishes, and tidying (such as sweeping, mopping, and cleaning bathrooms). We like visitors, but please call or text beforehand so we can let you know if visitation works for us that day/time or not.
