Helping Alice fight Stage 4 Cancer at 30

W
Story

Hello! I'm Alice. I just turned 30 on 3/13. This is my third time with stage 4 rectal cancer. I have experienced homelessness and food insecurity this past year. I am working on building a better life and have much more stability now. Truly anything is helpful. I receive SSI and SNAP, but still struggle to bridge the gaps. My first go around with cancer I was pronounced NED after a full APR and permanent colostomy at the age of 27. When I was 28, I had an intense 6 hour surgery to remove my coccyx and another tumor. At 29, I was diagnosed again. I am still doing chemotherapy, which I have a large amount of PTSD about after a heart attack related to treatment in december of 2024. I must fully be sedated to tolerate treatment and often cry. It is...difficult. I do have much joy in my life, my husband is my best friend. We do everything together and I want more than anything to be okay enough to build our own family. I pray every day to be better so that I can give us a better life. Thank you for reading. Much love to you and yours.
