Story

A Village of Love for Ashaia and her boys as she recovers from birth of her baby boy due in April 2026! To honor our sister Ashaia residing at "The Shelter" who is welcoming her newborn baby boy, Ruby into this world, let’s make her recovery and the first 6–8 weeks of her son’s life extra special and nourishing. She deserves to be held while she holds her newborn and cares for her 2 older boys. She needs as much rest and love as she can get. These first weeks are vital to keeping her and baby boy healthy and strong while she cares for all of her precious children. How to Support the Ohana: Since Ashaia is staying on church grounds, please note the following to make drop-offs smooth: The Menu: She has access to a crockpot, oven, and microwave, so meals that can be easily heated or "tossed in" are perfect. Freezer-friendly meals for later are also a huge help! Freshness: Fruits, vegetables, and easy snacks for her and the boys are always appreciated. Gift Cards: Any gift cards for takeout is also very appreciated. Wishlist: Paper plates and utensils so she doesn't have to worry about washing too many dishes during this precious time with all of her boys. Diapers size 0 and Wipes. The Drop-Off: Please leave meals in the cooler just outside of the church office along with any items from her wishlist with her name on it. Call Jeri at 808-375-9838 or Ashaia if the gate is locked during weekday hours. Sunday the gates are open most of the day. The "Soft" Delivery: To respect her rest and the privacy of the grounds, please text Ashaia at 808-475-7058 once you’ve dropped off the food so she can retrieve it at her convenience. Thank you for being part of the village that sustains this family! God Bless you all!

Special Notes

She has no food allergies or restrictions. She and her children are not picky eaters and will be so grateful for whatever your hearts and hands prepare. She does love sparkling apple cider ;-)
