Help Michael Fight Pancreatic Cancer ❤️ In August 2026, our family received news that changed our lives forever: my husband, Michael, was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer at just 40 years old. Michael and I have been together for nearly 20 years. Next summer, we will celebrate 20 years together, dating back to August 12, 2007, when we started our life journey together. Over nearly two decades, we have grown up together, built a life together, faced challenges together, and created the family we always dreamed of. We have shared so many beautiful memories, and today, we are facing one of the hardest chapters of our lives together. Michael is one of the strongest, funniest, hardest-working, and most loving people I know. He has always worked incredibly hard to take care of his family and would do absolutely anything for the people he loves. But more than anything, Michael is an incredible dad. He is the best daddy in the world to our almost 4-year-old daughter, Abbey, and our 2-year-old son, Luca. They absolutely adore their dad, and he is such a huge part of their little world. Abbey knows that Daddy has cancer and that he will be going through chemotherapy to help fight the cancer. She knows Daddy is sick, and she knows that he has some difficult treatments ahead of him. At her age, she has questions, worries, and emotions that come with seeing her daddy go through something so serious. Luca is still too young to fully understand what cancer means, but he knows Daddy is sick. He knows something is different, yet he still looks to his daddy for the love, comfort, laughter, and reassurance that only Daddy can give. Watching Michael face cancer while continuing to be the loving and supportive dad they know and love has been heartbreaking. But it has also shown us just how incredibly strong he is. Michael is facing chemotherapy followed by major surgery, with more challenges ahead. We know this road will not be easy, but Michael is strong, and we are determined to face every step together. Along with the emotional and physical challenges of cancer, we are also facing the financial reality that comes with treatment. Michael works a contract job without traditional employee benefits or paid time off. As he goes through chemotherapy and surgery, there may be times when he is unable to work, while medical expenses, childcare, and everyday family expenses continue. We are creating this fundraiser to help take some of that financial pressure off our family so Michael can focus on what matters most: fighting cancer, healing, and getting back home to his family. Donations will help with: • Medical and treatment-related expenses • Childcare for Abbey and Luca • Household and everyday expenses while Michael is unable to work • Travel and other unexpected costs associated with treatment and recovery As his wife, one of the hardest things about this is knowing that I can’t fight the cancer for him. I wish more than anything that I could take it away and carry this burden for him. Instead, I will be right beside him. I will be there through every chemotherapy treatment, every difficult day, the major surgery, the recovery, and all of the moments in between. And together, we will keep reminding him exactly what he is fighting for: his family, his children, me, himself, and the life we have built together. After nearly 20 years of loving Michael, growing alongside him, and building our life together, there is still so much more life we want to share. More birthdays. More anniversaries. More family vacations. More laughter. More memories. More ordinary days together that we once took for granted. We want Michael here for all of it. Michael has always been the one taking care of us. Now it’s our turn to take care of him. ❤️ If you are able to donate, no amount is too small. Every contribution will make a difference for our family and help ease some of the financial burden during this incredibly difficult time. If you aren’t able to donate, please consider sharing our fundraiser. A share may help us reach someone who is able to help, and that alone means more to us than we can put into words. And above all, please keep Michael in your thoughts and prayers. Please pray for strength, successful chemotherapy and surgery, healing, and many more years of Daddy being there for Abbey and Luca. We love you, Daddy. Keep fighting. ❤️ Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for loving Michael, supporting our family, sharing our story, and standing beside us during one of the hardest chapters of our lives. We truly believe that with strength, love, faith, and the support of our family and friends, we can get through this together. — Kim, Abbey, Luca
