Greetings family and friends of Morgan and Kelly Lewis. As many of you may know, shortly before the recent holiday, Morgan suffered a stroke as well as a series of other serious neurological complications. He was at the ICU of the Illinois Masonic Hospital and now he is at the Northwestern Memorial Hospital- 251 East Huron Street, Chicago, IL 60611, Room 907 int he Neuro ICU. At this time his doctors are waiting to assess the effects of their most recent treatments. During the next few critical weeks, Morgan's family and close friends are asking for your prayers, meditations, and positive energy. As many of you have reached out to inquire about ways to help, we are setting up this Giveinkind page to coordinate your efforts and to make sure that they do not go in vain. Kelly and Morgan's close friends would like to thank you so very much for your support during this most challenging time. You may know that the family is still healing from the loss of Morgan and Kelly's mother, Lillian Morgan Lewis, in recent years. Let's wrap our arms around them. *** Meal train*** For the sake of ease and time, we are requesting that meal donations be made in the form of cash via Zelle (Kelly: 404-641-7705) or gift cards through the VISA, Uber and Door Dash on the GiveInKind page, rather than sending meals directly. If you are local and would like to bring food in person, Kelly and Ellie are foodies and enjoy a wide variety of dishes. They eat chicken and fish/seafood as their proteins and love vegetables and rice. Noodles and all types of potatoes are great too—but please no fries or soda. Important Allergies: Ellie is very allergic to: 1. Eggs (except when baked into pastries like bread, muffins, and cakes) eg no friend rice eith eggs cooked in etc 2. Cashews 3. Hazelnuts 4. Almonds Please keep these restrictions in mind for any prepared meals. ***Visitation & Sitting with Morgan*** For those in Chicago who wish to help sit with Morgan when Kelly is unable to be there, we will be posting visitation/adult care sign-up requests soon. Kelly’s wish is that Morgan not be left alone at any time, if it can be helped.
