With both profound sadness and abiding hope, we share that John Stover, a devoted born-again Christian, entered the eternal peace of Heaven on March 30, 2025, passing gently in his sleep at Ohio’s Hospice of Dayton, surrounded by love and the comfort of cherished hymnal music. After courageously facing complications from a recent illness, John transitioned to hospice care earlier this week, where he spent his final days embraced by family and the music that anchored and lifted his spirit. His steadfast belief in God’s promise carried him—and now carries us—through this season of loss. During this tender time, John’s wife, Marty, and his daughter, Karen Stover (alongside her husband, Alex Dimitrijeski), are deeply grateful for the outpouring of love from friends and family. Karen and Alex have been living with Marty since November 2024 to support both John and Marty through their medical tribulations. Your generosity will allow them to focus on healing, honoring John’s legacy of quiet strength, and resting in the hope of reunion through Christ. “The Lord is close to the brokenhearted” (Psalm 34:18). Thank you for surrounding us with your prayers, kindness, and shared remembrance during this sacred time of sorrow and hope.
