Thank you local friends/extended family for your last minute, tag in support. Not sharing much about what happened, but Onslow Memorial Hospital has some incredible staff and providers. ⭐️⭐️DAY 2 UPDATE ⭐️⭐️With as much of a day as it was, kiddo and I couldn't have made it successfully through the day without the support and caring action of those local. Thank you. 🫶🏼 Common question: What can I do to help? Donate blood or plasma of you can. James wouldn't be with us if someone had not donated his blood type. Follow up on regular medical screenings. I know that's vague advise in this posting, but really, DO IT. Next commonly asked question: What happened? A somewhat common procedure took an unexpected turn south. The next two days will be critical for James' recovery. He'll make it through, though. ⭐️⭐️⭐️ DAY 3 UPDATE⭐️⭐️⭐️ Meals are covered! Oh my gosh, I'm ridiculously tearful over the support from high school friends, coworkers, and command. THANK YOU!! Drew's going to have yet another fun sleep over with his best friend. 😊 At 6:26pm, James returned from surgery. Everything went well, no complications. His color looks great and he is resting. The ICU, Surgical, and Anesthesia teams at OMH are incredible!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ DAY 4 UPDATE ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A very physically painful day, but so many gains made towards successful recovery! It takes a strong body and soul to make it through what James has been through. ❤️ He's doing great! Go Team Redmond!!
