On Wednesday, our brother Shane underwent major open-heart surgery. During the procedure, doctors repaired a Patent Foramen Ovale (PFO), a hole in his heart, performed a mitral valve repair, and completed an aortic valve replacement. While the surgery was successful, his recovery journey is just beginning. Over the next several months, he will be focused on healing and regaining his strength. His doctors have advised that he will be unable to work for at least three months, creating a significant financial strain during an already challenging time. As he recovers, he will have dietary restrictions and limited ability to prepare meals, run errands, or manage many of the day-to-day tasks we often take for granted. We are creating this page to help ease some of those burdens so he can focus on what matters most: healing.
