Love for Aisha

Oakland, CA

W
Story

Aisha recently had a serious fall down the stairs, resulting in three broken bones and a dislocated ankle. She will be undergoing surgery and is facing a 12-week recovery period. Because she lives upstairs and won’t be able to drive for about three months, she’ll be spending a lot of time at home while she heals. This is a season of leaning into asking for help and receiving care, and Aisha deeply appreciates the love and support surrounding her. Homemade meals, takeout, or meal deliveries, and occasional help with chores would be a huge help—and she would also really enjoy visitors and some friendly company along the way. Thank you for helping care for Aisha as she focuses on healing and getting back on her feet. ❤️

Special Notes

A Special Note About Meals for Aisha A few meal guidelines: * No pork * No red meat, except ground beef * Chicken, fish, and Mediterranean dishes are staples. * Aisha has very adventurous taste buds and would love for you to get creative! She enjoys trying different dishes, so feel free to cook something you love or try something new. She wants to taste it all! Frequency: * We’re aiming for meal support 3-4 times a week and support with chores twice a week. Help with meal and chores could be combined if you are doing drop-off and would like to offer both. * Coordinate with Aisha directly about visiting time by texting her at 619-315-5263 or emailing at [email protected]. She is generally grateful for time to visit, but sometimes may not have the bandwidth. Preferred meal/chore support days: * Tuesday * Thursday * Saturday * Sunday Drop-off window: * Meal drop-off and/or chore support would ideally happen between 2–7 PM, with a preference to wrap up before 5:00 PM when possible to protect evening rest. Starting date: Saturday, August 29 DoorDash Fund: If cooking or dropping off a meal isn’t convenient, you can also contribute to a DoorDash fund to help make meals and delivery easier during Aisha’s recovery. Thank you so much for helping surround Aisha with care, good food, and a little extra love during this season.
