G Gets his Groove Back

Story

One important request: I kindly ask that you do not text or message G directly right now. Unexpected outreach can be confusing or overwhelming for him as he navigates memory loss and recovery. Instead, if you would like to send love, please use this platform (where it says "Messages") to leave a note, share your favorite memories with G, and include photos of you and G together if you have them. I hope these stories and images can help bring his memory back and provide emotional support. Now for what happened. Over the last few days, G experienced a serious fall that resulted in a severe concussion and a hospital stay involving multiple scans, monitoring, and treatment. While his imaging came back clear, he is still facing significant symptoms, including severe headaches, anxiety, and memory loss. At this time, he has lost memory of the last two years meaning he does not remember his MBA classmates/program, or moving to Rochester. He is currently staying with me so he can rest and receive consistent care while he heals. This is an extremely overwhelming time for G. As many of you know, I am also caring for my dog Harlem following his recent emergency open chest surgery, so we are balancing multiple medical recoveries at once. The outpouring of love and concern has meant so much, and this Give InKind page was created because many people have asked how they can support G during this difficult moment. If you are able to help in other ways such as meals, tasks, errands, or gift cards, it would make an incredible difference while we focus on his recovery and maintaining stability at home. Thank you for showing up for G during this time! We will continue updating this page as he progresses.
