In early October, our sweet Crina Snyder received the life-changing diagnosis of hodgkin's lymphoma. Crina is a beloved daughter, sister, and coworker whose presence means so much to the people around her. As she begins this difficult journey, we want to surround her and her family with love, support, and encouragement. Wednesday, 10/21, will be Crina’s last day at work for the school year as she prepares to focus on her health and treatment. On Thursday 10/22, she will have a port placed in preparation for chemotherapy. Her treatment plan includes chemotherapy every other week for approximately six months. As you can imagine, this journey will bring many challenges, both physically and financially. We hope to ease some of those burdens so Crina can focus her energy on healing, resting, and taking things one day at a time. Here are a few meaningful ways you can help: 💜 For those that work in Crina's district: Shared leave is the greatest gift you can give. If you are able to donate shared leave, this is one of the most impactful ways to support Crina during her time away from work. 💜 Financial support: We have linked a Go Fund Me account for anyone who would like to contribute. Donations will help cover the costs of parking in Seattle for treatments, appointments, medical bills, and household needs to keep Crina supported throughout treatment. There is an Amazon wishlist linked as well that will be updated as needs arise. 💜 Meal support: At this time, we are accepting Door Dash and Albertsons gift cards rather than homemade meals, giving Crina and her family flexibility to choose what sounds good and what they need most. 💜 The Care Calendar will be updated for when treatments will be. The awareness ribbon color for hodgkin's lymphoma is violet so you can show support by wearing violet on those days! Most importantly, please keep Crina and her family in your thoughts and surround them with love, encouragement, and hope.
