We’ve tried everything we can think of to find stability: applying for jobs, even trying to use the little bit of money I receive from SSI in any way possible—but there’s always a hurdle or closed door. We dream about having a clean, safe place where our child can grow without worry or stress. A space not just four walls and a roof but somewhere we could call home again—our first real one since the unimaginable losses that have marked these past few years of our lives. We need help, urgently needed help to cover deposits and initial rent so that we can finally stop living in fear for ourselves and more importantly, our unborn child.
