Tasha Scribner’s Post Procedure Food Train

W
Story

My name is Tasha and I am a single mother of 4 beautiful children ages 23, 21, 15, and 11. I have 3 sons and 1 daughter. I suffered a Pulmonary Embolism March 19th at work. I worked through my shift and drove myself to the ER where my uncle said he would meet me. After 14 hours in the hospital, I was then transported to another hospital because the hospital I was at stated they were not equipped to handle someone with my diagnosis. I moved hospitals and was hospitalized for 3 days. Upon release I returned to work 10 days after my initial visit. I was struggling as my job is very strenuous on my feet. I fought everyday to be at work because I love what I do. I’ve been a cosmetologist for 25years. I had many doctor appointments during the following months followed by iron infusions and blood transfusions as they found I was extremely anemic due to blood loss from female issues as well. Doctors are still not sure where my blood clots were coming from but I had several go through my heart and into my lungs and they branched out like a tree. The doctors were shocked at how I survived this. I had to envoke unpaid FMLA on May 22nd due to being in and out of the ER and still no stabilization. I became stable late July and had a hysterectomy September 2nd. It is a 6-8 week recovery process with minimal driving for two weeks and cannot lift over 10lbs for upcoming months. During all of this my children saw me fighting for my life day after day for several months. They had to do things to help me as I was bedridden for months on end. I am now in recovery and all I can think is God spared me my life because my children needed me and he is not finished with my story. God indeed spared me my life and I owe every bit of my faith and trust to him. He never left my side. Throughout this process of a walking testimony I watched my kids grow closer to Jesus and pray more. They are sos strong and I continue to tell them that no matter what comes in life always keep your faith and trust in God because he will guide you every step of the way. I love my children very much and the most important thing I did and could do for them is lead them to Christ!!
