Support for Edah’s Recovery Earlier this year, Edah faced unexpected health challenges following a hysterectomy. Complications led to the development of a fistula and a diverticulitis flare-up that required hospitalization in March. Despite doing her best to manage things and delay further procedures, her most recent check-up revealed that her condition has worsened, and surgery is now necessary for her recovery. Unfortunately, Edah recently learned that her job does not offer disability benefits, meaning she will have no income during her recovery period. This has placed a strain on her ability to keep up with regular bills and expenses and also taking care of her teenage sons, while focusing on healing. Her next doctor’s appointment is scheduled for October 31st, when her care team will determine a timeline for her return to work.
