Every workplace has that one person everyone counts on—the one who always seems to have exactly what you need, exactly when you need it. For us, that person is Karen. She is truly the heart of Central Supply. Day in and day out, she supports all of us behind the scenes, making sure units run smoothly and that no one goes without what they need—often at a moment’s notice. Her reliability, kindness, and willingness to help never waver, and so many of us have leaned on her more times than we can count. Now, Karen is facing a major surgery followed by an extended recovery period that will require her to be out of work for some time. During this period, she will be limited in her ability to manage everyday tasks like cooking, cleaning, and caring for herself the way she normally would. This is our opportunity to give back and surround her with the same compassion, generosity, and support that she shows all of us on a regular basis. Any contribution—big or small—is a meaningful way to say thank you and to help ease the stress of her recovery so she can focus on healing.
