Suport for Rosemary McGiveron + Laura Jaworski

Rumford, RI

W
Story

In June 2026, Rosemary was hospitalized and while there the medical team found a growth. Since that point, we’ve learned it’s pancreatic cancer - one of the most aggressive cancers in that, once you are diagnosed, outcomes are bleak. Always the fighter, Rosemary has chosen to pursue treatment, and recently went through Day 1 of "gentle chemo" (it’s a less intense dosage and less frequent). As most in her community know, Laura recently stepped away from her role at House of Hope. Now, more than ever, Laura could use a helping hand so that she can stay focused on what matters most - loving and supporting Rosemary, and helping her to live her life with minimal pain and discomfort. Laura's answer to “what do you need” is first and foremost to keep Rosemary, Vinny, Stella, and Laura in our hearts and in our thoughts. Beyond that, we also know that maintaining life for a family of three (plus two pups) can feel impossible. So, this platform will be used to not only share updates on Rosemary's condition and care, but also to give practical options for those of us who would love to help.

Special Notes

Laura's children are currently in summer camp through mid August, and are typically with Laura during the week. Next year, Stella will be attending St. Margaret's as a sixth grader (omg) and Vinny will be entering 8th grade at St Luke’s.
