Those who know Mike well know how much he adored Sandi. When they made their vows to each other, he truly meant "in sickness and in health". He has spent endless hours driving to doctors appointments, sitting with her during treatment, and taking care of her every need. Throughout all of the twists and turns of this illness, his faith in my mom's resilience never wavered. He was her biggest cheerleader, and her greatest friend. Now, it's our turn to take care of him. Let's fill his belly and his freezer. Let's help him with household tasks or errands. He is so incredibly devastated and lost right now, and I want to take everything we possibly can off his plate to allow him to grieve.
