Food & Diet Specifics Toddler-Friendly Meals: To keep things comforting and easy for the kids at home, please prioritize mild, kid-friendly foods (think chicken tenders, mild pastas, any potatoes, or easy-to-reheat dishes). The kids do not like spicy food, so keeping things simple is a huge help! Meals for Mike (High Protein & Calcium): Mike is able to eat the home-cooked meals and his appetite is strong. He absolutely loves meat but dislikes yogurt. We are avoiding spicy dishes for him to prevent triggering nausea. Crucial Food Safety Rule: Because Mike's immune system is compromised, he cannot have any raw food (no raw fruits, raw vegetables, or rare meats). All meals brought for Mike must be fully cooked and easy for Mary to pack up and transport to the hospital. Hospital & Visitor Policy: Visitors encouraged! Mike is home until mid September and doesn't mind having visitors. Make sure you're feeling healthy and coordinate with him before coming by. After mid September he'll be back to no visitors for a bit. How to Connect: Video chats and texts are open!
