Our friends the Lavasseurs, who we met through our Cub Scout Pack, have met some medical hardship on the road to moving home to Wisconsin. Kirk was diagnosed with bronchitis and treated a few weeks ago. He was told he was having an adverse reaction to the treatment with fluid retention, exhaustion, and other symptoms. On Tuesday he went to the ER and was told he had a blood clot in his leg and possibly his lungs. After more testing, he was diagnosed with Acute Heart Failure with reduced ejection fraction 10-15%. Thankfully, they were eligible for COBRA insurance as he has recently left his job with the railroad to pursue moving closer to family. The road will be long, but he will come back from this. They will be focusing on heart friendly eating as well as accommodations for allergies within the family. Gift cards and monetary donations would be most appreciated while navigating the changes life has thrown at them! Kirk and Kristi have been such wonderful leaders in Pack 150 and we are sad to loose them to Wisconsin. But hopefully, we can make the transition a little easier with this medical emergency thrown in the mix.
Michelle has several allergies to take into consideration. The family frequents Brookshires, Kroger, and Target. They have found that Olive Garden and Another Broken Egg are the best to accommodate allergies. I can also provide a PayPal email address if that would be a better option for you! I can arrange delivery if you want to donate a physical gift card.
