Dear Connections, As many in the industry know, recent tech layoffs have hit hard—and unfortunately, I was impacted in the latest round, losing my role as a software developer. Timing has made this particularly critical: I had just finalized purchasing my first home right before receiving the news. While I am actively interviewing for full-time roles and taking on short-term freelance contracts, the multi-week hiring gap puts my housing situation at immediate risk. Without warning, my entire division was cut during a sudden company-wide downsizing. In a single morning, my corporate access was revoked, my salary vanished, and my health insurance disappeared. I immediately went into survival mode, but the timing couldn't have been worse. Having just closed on the house, my cash savings were poured directly into the down payment and initial loan closing fees. Now, I am facing down my monthly home loan payment (EMI) with zero income coming in.
If you know of any open full-time or contract roles for software/tech specialists, please reach out!
