The Carter Family Next Chapter

This is truly a season of transition for the Carters. For the past three years, we have been prayerfully waiting for a kidney transplant for Eric. This year, through God-inspired innovation and the care of the Baylor Scott & White Transplant Center in Dallas, Iiesha has been given the opportunity to donate one of her kidneys to him. As a result, they are preparing for surgery and several weeks of recovery away from home. In addition, Iiesha recently and unexpectedly became unemployed. Understandably, preparing for major surgeries for both herself and her husband makes re-entering the job market especially challenging. At the same time, the cost of maintaining health coverage through COBRA has added significant medical premium expenses during this critical season. In the midst of it all, Drake and Christian continue to flourish in their love for soccer. They were recently invited to join the Villarreal FC Youth Academy of Spain and have exciting tournament opportunities ahead, both in the U.S. and abroad. Support for these doors opening before them would be a tremendous blessing during this time.
