Barrier Homefront Ops

Story

Things were running smoothly for this family during deployment—communication was steady, routines were manageable, and support systems were in place. Then the situation changed. With the recent escalation in the conflict involving Iran, there is now increased danger, rapid military movement, and strict communication limitations. Service members are often unable to share their location or circumstances, and contact has become limited or unpredictable. Because of this, the usual ways of supporting Sam—like sending care packages or staying in regular contact—are no longer possible. At home, everyday responsibilities have become heavier. Simple, daily needs and household tasks are now more difficult to manage alone, especially while navigating the emotional weight of uncertainty. This page exists to step in where those gaps have formed— to support the family, lighten the load, and remind them they are not doing this alone.

Special Notes

A note from Yvonne: Everything hits harder when the family is in deployment mode. A month filled with deaths in the family, medical emergencies, and other unexpected hardships has made the steps of daily life feel burdensome and overwhelming. Helping with meals would be the most impactful way to keep morale high and the family functioning.
