Our Sister Friend Deneen, or more affectionately known as Dee, was recently diagnosed with her second occurrence of breast cancer and has faced this journey with strength, self-advocacy, and courage. After her surgery, she is focusing on recovery and healing. This InKind page was created to coordinate support—meals, rides to appointments, and help with daily tasks and self-care needs—so she can rest and regain her strength. Encouraging notes and check-ins are also deeply appreciated. Thank you for surrounding her with love and care during this time.
For the first two weeks after surgery, Dee will be convalescing at her relative Kizzy’s home. To give them privacy and space for Deneen to rest, in-person visits will be limited during this time. Please call or text before planning to stop by. If you’d like to support her recovery, healthy meals, gift cards, flowers or items that bring comfort and ease are most helpful.
