Lieren & her husband Demetri Gunderson's 20 month old daughter Lyla has a mass that was found on her adrenal gland on top of the kidney. They have been at UMC Children's Hospital in Lubbock, TX since July 8th, 2022. Doctors have finally found out the mass is an Adrenocortical tumor, a rare and cancerous tumor. Lyla's team of doctors are meeting to set a plan (surgery, possibly chemo, etc.) at this time. Currently Lyla's surgery had surgery to remove the tumor on Thursday morning 7/21/22 . *Update* Lyla will have to do chemo starting 9-8-22. Treatment plan will be 5 days of chemo + hospital stay depending on how Lyla does. Chemo will be every 21 day for a span of up to 8 months. This will be a long journey for our sweet Lyla Jean. I want to help take the burden of some expenses off of Lieren & Demetri during this difficult and stressful time.
