As many of you know, I live with NF2 (Neurofibromatosis type 2), a rare genetic condition that causes tumors to grow along the nervous system. Because of how these tumors affect things like hearing, balance, and cranial nerves, managing it requires some heavy-duty interventions. This past Thursday, I had Gamma Knife radiation to target one of those troublesome areas. It’s a very precise, non-invasive procedure, but the recovery process especially dealing with the exhaustion and post-procedure swelling is no joke and requires a lot of resting at home.
