On February 26, 2026 at 3:21 AM, sweet baby Kanaan was called home to be with the Lord at Cook Children’s Medical Center after a short battle with pneumonia. Kanaan was a vibrant, joyful one-year-old whose smile could light up any room. Though his time here was brief, his life was full of love, and we find comfort knowing he now brings that same joy to the heavens above. There is no pain like the loss of a child. No parent should ever have to bury their baby, and this unimaginable loss has been truly devastating for the family. Kanesha is a devoted single mother who continues to be strong for her two other beautiful children who depend on her love and care. During this incredibly difficult time, we want to surround her and her family with the support of community. We are asking first and foremost for your prayers.
