Meals with Love for Dee & Family

Puyallup, WA

Story

If you know Denesha (“Dee”), you know how deeply she gives to others. Every day, she’s making sure her teen boys are well-fed with a hearty meal before her daughter and she dash out to cheer practice. She’s the kind of person who shows up — for her family, her friends, and her community. Now, it’s our turn to show up for her. Dee’s beloved mother, Michele Blanchette, has entered hospice care after a long and difficult medical journey, including a recent 46-day hospital stay and double leg amputation. For the past decade, Dee has been her mom’s full-time caregiver — a role filled with sacrifice, strength, and unwavering love. With Michele now in the final chapter of her life, Denesha is facing a time of deep emotional and financial transition. Her role as a caregiver wasn’t just about love — it also helped support their household. Now, she and her husband Matt are navigating this shift with the added weight of grief, end of life caregiving, and raising three kids — including two teen boys and their daughter. We’re organizing this Meal Train to give Denesha and her family a little breathing room. A hot meal, a warm gesture — these simple acts can go a long way in a time like this. Let’s rally around Dee the way she’s always shown up for everyone else. Thank you for supporting this beautiful family with your time, your food, your prayers, and your love.

Special Notes

No food allergies. The family includes Dee, Matt, Delaney, Shawn, and Landon — with two growing high school boys who especially appreciate hearty meals. Michelle may not have much of an appetite during this time, so portions can be planned with the rest of the family in mind.
